I was curious as to what the new ship would look like, well I finally found it.

I am not impressed.

I don't know, maybe I was expecting something different.
I was a little disappointed when I first saw it.

I agree with Brikar, I can't wait for this to hit the air. The Galactica itself leaves something to be desired, but so did the original IMO. The new one looks fine considering what they had to work with.

I like to think that this mini-series is to BG, what TNG was to TOS. And it looks like it'll be just as different while still honoring the original concepts. I'm definitely glad they decided to do a remake instead of a sequel though. There were aspects of the original that I hated.

I am glad it was not a sequel, and I really had no problem with the remake until I started reading some of the info the past couple of weeks. I really don't care if characters have gender changes and I really do like how they modified the premise. I just get the sense that the execution is going to be poor.

I guess regarding the ship, I have to say, I am glad the main design elements are there -- the launch bays on pontoons, overall shape, but I really expected better. I think those of you who post here in the art forum could come up with better.

Maybe it looks better on TV.

Will I watch it? I don't know. As much as I bitch and moan about it, I probably will.
