| Astro-Monkey | When I was growing up, I had great faith in the human condition. I thought that Santa Claus was real. And, I knew that they couldn't make a good Simpsons game. Throughout my life, I have grown increasingly bitter. I am no longer the starry-eyed youth that I once was. But, I was secure in the fact that there would never be a good Simpsons game. Then I played "The Simpsons, Hit and Run". God is this game fun. Imagine GTA in Springfield. You drive around, completing missions and various sub-quests (mercifully, there is no spray-painting of red objects). But what really makes this game is the characters. As Homer runs over a stop sign, he shouts out "Please don't sue! I don't have insurance!". Or Bart: "Homer'll pay for it." Running over random people elicit various responses. "Spines don't bend that way." You get to drive as all 4 talking members of the Simpsons clan, and also Apu. Then there are the other characters. You ride with Chief Wigum. Or with Skinner & Mother. Snake. Comic Book Guy. And just about everyone else who'se been seen on the Simpsons, except for Phil Hartman's characters. It's frustrating in some parts, but what good game isn't. Beyond that, it's interesting, fun, and funny. Now all that I have is Santa Claus.

![]() | That Simpson game DOES look bad ass. I was hoping it would be "GTA meets the Simpsons". I've been playing Return Of The King on the PSX2 at a friends house for the last couple of days. What a gorgeous fucking game. IMO, THE most gorgeous. It's simply incredible. It utilizes clips from the movie to great effect and the sound is the best, bar none. Can be hard as shit sometimes with a lot of enemies, and some camera issues. But the camera does emmulate the camera style in the movie fairly well, so you feel like your playing a movie most of the time. Great game!

| Religious Fanatic | In other news, today I discovered a little mario style section of a level in Elite Force II. Yay ![]() My copy of ROTK for PC should be arriving by the end of this crazy little month we're having, It's the only one in that series they've released on PC so it better be good.

![]() | Yeah, we played this game when it first came out and it was hilarious. It's not as good as GTA, but close enough and it gets extra points for the Simpsons.
