Everything was just too neat and tidy for me. Yeah, I know that they're not done with Lex yet, but at the end of the episode, it just felt like all the suspense that was built up over the past month waiting for new episodes fizzled. Not only that, but the side-plot of the three baddies ganging up on Clark completely fizzled. That felt like an add on. For God's sake, it only took Clark two minutes to get his powers back. All that build up for so little payoff? Gimme a break.

This truly has been the winter of my discontent. At least I still have my Firefly DVDs.

I agree. They should have made it a two parter so they could give the b story it's due. Although I think they would have had a hard time deciding where to go with it had the two baddies actually escaped.

All in all I think it was a good episode. Much better than any Enterprise ep I've seen in the last year. One thing about the epside is that it opens up another Lionel/Luthor chapter. You knw as well as I do that Lex remembers what happened and just isn't letting on. There's more to it than they say anyhow. Something like Lionel's blindness, they're gonna keep us wondering for awhile.

I thought it was pretty good, myself.

To me, it just seemed to bring Lex back to where he was near the beginning of the season. It seemed like they just wanted to kill Lex's development (I know they're not going to, but that's what it felt like).
