| The Awesome One | I just watched this incredible episode last night. I was gratified to see that the show seems to be continuing to improve. Although the B story sucked ass and did little more than irritate me, the main story and Archers morale dilemma was not only very well written, but well acted as well. I think that they finally did something on Enterprise that none of the other series has done before. I mean sure, there've been morale quandries, and Captains making decisions that aren't morally the right ones, but nothing so outrageously "over the line" as attacking innocent victims because they have soemthing you need. Innocent victims that for once were not really involved in the issue at all. I can't remember any other series doing something so drastic as this. Correct me if I'm wrong though. I understand that it was supposed to be "shock value" and it was, but it was really effective shock value IMO. And the best part, unlike Voyagers YOH, the ship was still beat to shit at the end. There was no magical repair, there was no "three months later" crap, nothing. We get to watch them go into next weeks episode with a ship falling apart at the seams, WONDERFUL!! ![]()

| Religious Fanatic | Yeah, that T'Pol shit was annoying, but the Degra stuff wasn't as bad as they said it was on TW. Sure, he's gone from genocidal to trusting Archer to some degree, but when you think about it, Archer does have a stronger case than the spherebuilders, plus the spherebuilders have acted behind their back when they sent the reptillians back in time. But the most important reason is, Degra and Archer have one major thing in common: They are both scientists who have been forced into a situation where they have to kill innocent people in an effort to save their respective peoples. The T'Pol shit was a total load of crap, though. I don't mind them doing a drug abuse storyline with one of the characters, especially since it is a pretty depressing situation for them, but T'Pol's the wort person they could have picked for it.

| It's me again | I watched this on tape last night because I was travelling. Thhe one thing that struck me is that T'Pol really should leave the show. Her character adds nothing...I mean great, we have Earth struggling for survival helped by a crack whore Vulcan. Tell me that device she used to liquefy the Trellium-D didn't look a little like a crack pipe before she removed the test tube to inject it in her neck. What's next. Showing T'Pol hangin out in the lower decks selling stolen tricorders for $5 so she can score some Trellium-D. The "A' story i thought was great. the other thing I noticed was the stolen worp core/coil whatever, didn't it resemble a primitive versionof the core we saw on the Ent-D? Even the design of the collar thingees towards the top were identical. I wonder if this is going to turn out to be some unintended consequences of intended actions situation. Think about it. What if Archer's engine has reached it's peak developmentally. However, they have this alien tech which can now take it to a new level and new insights into warp theory or warp tech. Allowing hundreds of starfleet ships to be built that can travel at high warp. Think about it... the Starfleet built on the back of stolen technology.

| The Awesome One | It would add a certain irony to the other shows for sure. I think that you're right, T'pol isn't adding anything to the show whatsoever. And these "T'pol storylines" are just a way for B&B to try and involve her in a storyline that could really do without her. I mean really, A Vulcan on crack? C'mon. If they were gonna do a drug abuse plot with one of the characters, might I suggest Hoshi? Who else would be so easily taken by addiction than the officer that's afraid of almost EVERYTHING on the damn show. And I don't say that in a critical way, but she has so many uncertainties about her position on the ship, she seems to me to be the one that would be most likely to become an addict. But alas, we all know that hoping for T'pols demise is the same as hoping they'd ditch 7 of 9 from Voyager. It just isn't gonna happen. She's the t&a factor, and B&B seem to think that wih Trip, T'pol and Archer they've recreated the Spock Kirk and McCoy dynamic. The best we can hope for is that the "A" stories keep getting better like this. I can keep fast forwarding through the "B" scenes ![]()

| Religious Fanatic | I don't know...I'm starting to think she's going to be killed off or at least leave for Vulcan next season(provided there is a next season). I mean, if she doesn't then it's going to piss a lot of people off, the best thing the character herself could do is go back to Vulcan and try that Kolinar thing Spock was doing in TMP.

![]() | Well, the T'Pol on crack thing exists merely to explain everything else that's happened with her this season. I'm ok with it for that reason, because it works, but I don't really like it. I don't find it particularly necessary, but, oh well. I'm curious as to whether or not Archer, at the end of this storyline, will try to find that stranded alien ship and give them back their warp coil. It'd be nice if he apologized to someone for once.

| The Awesome One | I was wondering the same thing, but I can't see it happening. What would be really cool is if the aliens he attacked were somehow affiliated with the Romulans, and this kinda precipitated the hostilities between Earth and Romulus ![]()

| Religious Fanatic | That was my first thought as well. I also think it would be a good way of showing Archer's pain and remorse over the thing's he's had to do.
