The Forgotten (Spoliers) Wow. Not nearly as spectacular as Memoria was on the Smallville side, but for Enterprise, it was another good one. I actually liked The Forgotten more than damage. Overall, there wasn't much that stood out about the episode. It was really just a further on last weeks installment, and had little to no really thought provoking scenes with one exception.
The scene with Trip and T'pol. If you've seen the ep, you know what I mean right away. Trip trying (rather ineffectively) to contain himself throughout the episode was exactly the right thing to do for his character. The writers didn't forget about his personal loss in the attack on Earth. The scene with Trip, Degra and T'pol in the command center was almost frustrating to watch. I really wanted Trip to let loose on Degra instead of just taking some rather reserved digs at him. After Archer entered the room and Trip backed off, I though all hope was lost and that they;d forgotten about how much trauma Trip must be dealing with. I was wrong. When he lost it in that scene with T'pol later on I was gratified to see for what must be the first time, an actual, realistic, honest human raction on Enterprise.
Even the bit with T'pol consoling him was done well. THIS is the way you build characters relationships, not with some stupid throwaway "massage" scenes. Or some ridiculous never mentioned again sex scene. I can't say enough good things about the character development on Trip in this ep.
That being said, the ep overall was good, not great, but good. I'm definetley tuning in next week for E squared.
