Smallville "Legacy" (Spoilers) Wow, overall the episode was nothing special. Once again, an episode that dances around the mythos while really adding little to it. We get teasers in the "Lionel vs Clark" situation, we get teasers about Pa Kent's deal with Jor-El, and a few others. They never really tell us anything new or open up anymore questions though. Altogether, an episode that could be forgotten, or missed, and no affect the overall arc. Until the end....
The final scene with Lex talking to Clark about the prophecy starts off in what I though would be another "Oh my god, does Lex know about Clark?" situation, but it wasn't. The very last moment of the episode where Lex suggests that Segeeth (sp?) may be the hero quite literally sent a chill down my spine.
I loved it. THIS is what I've been waiting for in this show. Not the answers to the caves, not the cape and the spandex, not seeing Clark fly, no, Lex's inevitable fall into evil. And this is an example of one of the most dramatic, and effective scenes I've seen on this show. Just a little 45 second scene, and here I am excited about an overall mediocre episode. Splendid!
