![]() | I was bored at work, so I wrote up an outline for the first season of a TOS remake. I might be assed to write a couple of these into scripts, but mostly I was just having fun thinking shit up. Enjoy. Comment.

| The Awesome One | Once again Brikar, awesome work. One question though, apparently in your timeline, Humans are already aware of what Romulans look like. Did I just read that wrong? Or was it intentional?

![]() | I went back through it, and I guess the wording I have about Chekov suspecting Sarek makes it sound like they know, but honestly it wasn't my intention. I meant, rather that Sarek might be a Romulan agent, perhaps that's a better word.

| The Awesome One | So Chekov suspects Sarek even though he doesn't know what Romulans look like? Actually, that could make for a fairly dramatic episode. Chekov is convinced that Sarek is a Romulan spy, for some other reason besides his appearance. The other senior officers make a big point of talking him out of his suspicions, and then near the end of the episode they finally see a Romulan and they all look kind of funny at Sarek. Well, you get the idea. After they finally convince Chekov he's wrong, they're all suddenly suspecting him. Well, I'm not much of a screenwriter, but I think it'd be a cool way to introduce the Romulans.

![]() | It would be, considering the characteristic paranoia associated with them.

| The Awesome One | I always thought it would have ben interesting if they'[d done a story touching on the whole paranoia thing, but relating back to humans feelings about the Romulans. I mean, we only got to see the "paranoia" from the Federations point of view.

What about technology? Despite Ent and any other TNG retcon's, it's CLEARLY obvious that the transporter is a fairly new invention in Star Trek. There's distrust of the thing, it's not reliable, etc. Warp engines also seem powerful, but prone to being damaged as well. Do you have any designs for the ship, tech, uniforms and such? If so, when will we see them.

![]() | I did realize that the ship was old, but I wrote this fairly early in the morning, some parts I wasn't thinking too well about. It's one of those things that you know, but you kind of don't remember and then someone reminds you and you're like, "Oh, DAMN, that's right..." I wanted the ship to FEEL old, here. In TOS, it was a very pristine ship, and it broke down only because they would strain it to the edge on their adventures. Here, I thought Scotty should be nearly running his crew ragged just to keep certain systems going. Not that the thing would be breaking down every week, but the ship should have a weathered feel, you should be able to tell that the ol' gal actually was an ol' gal. I haven't put much thought into technology and such, I was focusing more on characters and stories, but I'm perfectly willing to explore further. The only thing I've decided on so far is that the ship would remain of the same essential design, but just more detailed so that it would look better on today's higher resolution monitors. I think I'll do some drawings and such tonight, think some more about it.

| The Awesome One | Know what's funny, I'm more excited about you doing more on this idea, than I am for Enterprise S4 to start.
