![]() | I don't remember if I put this up at the old Bar, but here it is again even if I did. This was a semester-long project that I worked on, a retelling of a myth, legend or fairy tale. I happened to choose "Beauty and the Beast" for the inherent simplicity of transplanting it from a fairy tale landscape into a science fiction landscape. I think it came out rather well, except I had to cut down the ending. The professor thought it was too long and a bit too violent, so I don't think it's quite as impressive as it once was, but, oh well. This class was paired up with an illustration class, so we had illustrations to go along with what we wrote. I wanted to illustrate it myself, but the professors were adamantly against that for some reason. Oh well, I'm doing it any way, in the form of a graphic novel. I've completed several pages already of an added prologue, and now I'm at where the story actually starts, aboard the cargo ship McKinley. There're a lot of "Firefly" and Trek references in there for people to pick out. I hope you enjoy it. Let me know if you do. And most certainly fuck off if you don't. ![]()
