When I click in the area where is says "view more emoticons", the page comes up but when I click on the one I want it doesn't put it in my post. Also when I click on "close window" the window doesn't close.

*in sad voice* help me.

It may be a seeing on your box. I usually post from a bud's comp, and he's changed some settings lately and now the emoticons aren't animated. I don't think Beans avatar is either.

a) Has it always been like this?

B) Are you still using WebTV?

a) no

B) yes

When we were on the previous bb, whenever I clicked on viwe more emoticons, it came up at the bottom of the page and worked fine for me.

Now that we are here and I click on that, it pulls up a whole screen and everytme I click on a dude I want, I get a message that says some like can't find the address of http://

The 'http://' part is the only thing that shows, there's no www.so-n-so.com after it. It's like it's not reading an address at all.
BTW.... the ones that show on the sidebar all the time work fine for me, it's just the other ones that don't

I don't ever remember using a 'view more emoticons' at the old place, so if somebody can help me out, did it open a new window, or dump more into the current window.

Here's what I'm thinking. WebTV isn't exactly "javascript friendly" (of course, IE and NN have their own ideas of what "javascript friendly" is, but that's a different rant).

Here's what goes on when you click on an emoticon. It's not actually a link, but rather a javascript call to say "put this text in the text box where the cursor is". On the "View More" page, it says "Go back to the original page and put this text in the text box where the cursor is". What I think is happening is that your webTV browser has no idea how to work with that.

If I'm right, you might have a setting within your webTV browser to alter what Javascript can do, but beyond that I'm afraid I can't do anything to change it.

And this is why I don't own a real computer (besides the fact I can't afford one)... I have no clue what you just said.

a) How do I do that?

B) How in the world did I change my settings in the first place? (playing with something I shouldn't have been no doubt!)

c) (and so I don't have to ask in another post) Tell me how to do that again in dumbass language (cause when it comes to computers, all I know is that they run on smoke and when it leaks out it's broken.)
