| Religious Fanatic | I have an issue with this system I'd like you to look into: When I access one of the forums, all the threads with new posts are noted by a green marker rather than blue, but if I only read one thread, they all go blue, which is pretty confusing.

I can look around, but I'm not sure where the problem is.

| Religious Fanatic | I think you are (unless you're pressing the back button to go to the navigation page, instead of the links at the top of the page). basically, when I log in, all the boards / threads that have been posted in since i was last logged in have a green image next to them to indicate new posts, so when I refresh the index page, everything goes blue, so i don't know where the new posts are at. What would be nice would be if we could ahve something like TrekWeb or the xsorbit bord, where threads say "new", until you've acctually read them.

The functionality I'm getting is exactly the same as what I got at xsorbit & Trekweb. Like I said, though, I can try to track it down. EDIT: Cymro, I moved this into the support forum, since it really belongs here, and it'll be easier for me to track.

![]() | I've just returned to the board after being offline, and when I returned all the markers were blue, and I know I didn't click on a few topics the last time I was here. There was another thread which addressed this issue in which Cymro posted a link to a few screencaps of what he sees, but I couldn't find it because all the markers are blue. This seems to be a cookie issue, but I don't know what to do about it on my end. |

![]() | Just had a thought, I cleaned out my IE cache amongst other areas of my computer the other day, I was wondering if this might have had an effect on the ability to identify new posts. The only thing with this theory is that I was getting the notification indicators consistently until yesterday. I was getting a lot of strange behavior on my pc the other day, with windows popping up five times with the same thing, the msn search box that usually appears to the left of my browser was opening in an independent window. Right now I'm going to log out and log back in and see if there's any difference. Will update... |
